by John F. Coverdale (Author)

For almost a century, Opus Dei has transmitted to the world a message of encounter with God in ordinary life. A first of its kind, this book traces the history of the institution from its foundation in 1928 to 2016. It is based on extensive research in previously unexplored documents in Opus Dei's archives and numerous interviews.

Volume Two covers the five decades that begin with the opening of the Second Vatican Council in 1962. During that period, Opus Dei grew from 5,000 to more than 90,000 members and established centers throughout the world. Pope St. John Paul II made it a personal prelature and canonized its Founder, St. Josemarí a Escrivá
