After 46 safari/shikari adventures on six continents, I am fortunate to have collected 163 animals and 142 species, including 71 listed in the Safari Club (SCI) International record books. I have received the SCI's Pinnacles of Achievement Award--Fourth Pinnacle. And in February of 2012, I received the SCI Crowning Achievement Award. The ability to collect a trophy animal is a great achievement because it requires great stamina, skill, understanding of animal behavior, good weather, luck, and the financial resources. Suzanne and I believe the true essence and joy of hunting is the excitement of stalking wild game and learning different methods of hunting animals in different countries. The interaction with local people, learning their customs, culture and history, enhanced our total experience more than the number of animals listed in the record book.
