Panchatantra is a treatise of five books for effective leadership, which can achieve through the wisdom imprinted in it by Vishnu Sharman, the celebrated author of Panchatantra. The leadership principle taught in Panchatantra is relevant in today's world. Panchatantra is also called as Nitisastra and it is the essence of other Indian normative texts like Mahabharata, Ramayana, Arthasastra, Manusmriti etc. It is considered as the most frequently translated work with more than 200 translations in more than 60 languages. The translation by Dany Poulose is based on the available original manuscript of Panchatantra, which proficiently combines prose and verse to give the readers a delicious feast of wisdom.

Author Biography

Dany Poulose is doing research in different versions of Panchatantra for more than four years at Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kerala, India. Her other work is Kakolukiya: Revisiting the Third Book of Panchatantra Through Arthashastra and Mahabharata
