This picture book presents many noble and ancient creatures of the sea as they live, inside their ecological contexts, and also as aesthetically pleasing, semi-abstract compositions of shape and color having a purely artistic merit. Interspersed with photographs made by the author between 2001 and 2014 in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, the Gulfs of California and Mexico, and the Caribbean and Moluccan Seas, are several graphic art works derived from the images.
