In Poetry for Me, Dodrill shares his work that he has written on and off since 2018. With influence from multiple Latin American poetry classes he took during university, most of his work has come from spur-of-the-moment ideas. Sharing his struggles in his past through his poetry, Dodrill hopes that his work conveys to his readers that empathy starts with stepping outside of yourself and into the lives of others.

About the Author

Jacob Dodrill, originally from Washington State, lived in Spain for six months while teaching English. He enjoys board games and card games. As a graduate from Western Washington University, Dodrill has a Bachelor's in Spanish with a minor in Latin American studies. He loves to write and create stories and wants to teach Spanish to others.
