We do not associate the term "nothingness" with Christianity. There is, however, a rich and vibrant tradition of nothingness available in the history of the followers of Jesus Christ. Mystics down through the ages have extolled the wisdom of nothingness for contemplation and advancing towards oneness with God. This little book taps the Christian tradition of nothingness and applies it to a contemporary method of prayer, centering prayer, to tease out insights and ways to deepen its practice.
