The year is 1973. Retired police officer Chester Sinclair has a dire situation. Twice within three weeks, unknown subject(s) have tried to kill him. In an effort to determine whom, he reviews 38 years of his police daily notebooks. He comes up with several possibles, but by doing so, he plows up some old ground which had been buried deep within the recesses of his mind.
