In what used to be Texas, a cyborg leads a revolt against the humans. Romulus is a talented surgeon, but he's a machine. He has few rights, and he's old. There's rust in his lines, and his battery won't hold a charge. The humans frame him for murder and sentence him to clown torture, a gruesome public dismemberment. He must try to escape to the swamps outside town. But is escape really possible?
