Author Biography

Nicole Gilbert is a licensed clinical social worker who has worked in social services in non-profit organizations for the past twenty years. She has spent the last twenty years working with children and families, the homeless population, individuals diagnosed with mental illness and survivors of domestic violence. Nicole is a graduate from Columbia University School of Social Work where she earned a Masters Degree in Social Work and an alumni of Capella University where she earned a PhD. Secrets Untold is Nicole's debut novel which is a follow-up to her dissertation topic: Understanding African-American Clergies' Experiences with Incidents of Domestic Violence Among Female Congregants.
