For a long while, these poems were centered around myself and my experiences, but as I got older, I began seeing the poetry in the lives of those around me. This collection is made up of those pieces. My hope is that it helps you to see that we are all connected, in our emotions, feelings, and experiences. We are never alone in anything we endure, and the truth is that more people probably notice us, can relate to us, and empathize with us than we realize. Though we may be at the center of our narrative, everyone's stories are intertwined in subtle, permanent, or even intimate ways. It's a beauty of life I've learned to see, and it's inspired so many poems in my heart.
