Author Biography

Randy King is a leader in modern-day, realistic self-defense methods that include all of the different aspects of self-defense (e.g. conflict resolution, legal ramifications, internal ethical conflicts, etc.) and not just the fight itself. He is dedicated to passing on the most up-to-date and highly-researched methods of self-defense to martial artists and civilians alike, using a combination of Rory Miller's Conflict Communication program, his own hands-on counter ambush and realistic knife defense programs, and his wealth of experience dealing with aggression and weapons. Randy worked as a doorman for 11 years, and is currently the owner and head coach of KPC Self Defense in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He has a wide range of experience in many forms of martial arts, and prides himself on instructing and helping others achieve their fitness and self-defense goals.
