ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Philipa Alvarez is a preschool teacher. Reading books to her students for several years made her realize how important reading moments were for them. Children that had a hard time to focus on other activities had their eyes and ears totally concentrated on the words that came out of Philipa's mouth and on the beautiful pictures that were printed on the book pages. Those words and images made them dream and imagine magical places, feel all kinds of emotions and learn about the world around them. Understanding how precious books can be to children, Philipa decided to share with them a few of her own stories, a little bit of her imagination and some of her life experiences.
