Christian P. Potholm is DeAlva Stanwood Alexander professor of government at Bowdoin College and author numerous books, including This Splendid Game, Maine: The Dynamics of Political Change, Winning at War, and Maine: An Annotated Bibliography. He lives in Harpswell, Maine.
