Author Biography


Antawan I. Byrd is currently a PhD candidate in Art History at Northwestern University, focusing on modern and contemporary African Art and the African diaspora.

Yves Chatap is an independent art critic and curator. He holds a Master in Art History from the University of Paris, Sorbonne.

Bisi Silva is the founder and artistic director of the Centre for Contemporary Art, Lagos (CCA, Lagos), which opened in December 2007. Silva has written on contemporary art for international publications including Art Monthly, Untitled, Third Text, M Metropolis, Agufon and for Nigerian newspapers.
