In 1996 Yonebayashi joined Studio Ghibli and worked as an \"in-between\" animator on \u003ci\u003ePrincess Mononoke\u003c\/i\u003e (1997) and \u003ci\u003eMy Neighbors the Yamadas\u003c\/i\u003e (1999), and as Key Animator for \u003ci\u003eSpirited Away\u003c\/i\u003e (2001), \"The GHIBLIES Episode 2\" (2002), \u003ci\u003eHowl's Moving Castle\u003c\/i\u003e (2004), and \u003ci\u003ePonyo\u003c\/i\u003e (2008). He was also the Assistant Supervising Animator for \u003ci\u003eTales from Earthsea\u003c\/i\u003e (2006). \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003eYonebayashi has also worked on short films for the Ghibli Museum, Mitaka.
