Author Biography

Vivienne Gardner Edwards grew up in England. She finished her education in Oxford and moved with her family to Michigan in the mid 70's. She was active in Home Education and created a state home school network in Minnesota in the 80's. After she moved to Oregon she became a speaker on domestic abuse until she became concerned over drug abuse after sharing her home with a heavy drug user. She formed a local area drug education network, working with local law enforcement and schools to educate others about drugs and their effects on both the user and the family. Two years later, she wanted to expand the reach of this work so she created an educational website dedicated to the support of families of drug users. She became an advocate for a disabled woman Veteran in 2008, and from this she learned about the need for support for Veterans, who often deal with addiction especially to pain medication. As well as working on drug related issues, she also writes fiction books and is currently working on a book on PTSD for Veterans. When not writing she cares for her disabled dogs and her group of rescued cats.
