Author Biography

Enchanted by the sea and accompanied by her grandson, Faith Pearson quickly penned a rhyme about Blackbeard, the dreadful pirate who sailed the North Carolina waterways - something for grandson Andrew to read. Pearson, a retired North Carolina school teacher who was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, has collaborated with local artist, Choci Gray, of LaGrange, North Carolina. Together they have turned the poem into an exciting short tale for little children, with an addendum for grown-up readers. "The Demon Pirate of Carolina" is part of "The Little Pieces Library," a collection of children's books by Pearson. '
