The Fence of Salvation is an allegory, an extended metaphor, of some of the basic concepts of Christianity such as love, faith, forgiveness, mercy, justification, sanctification and redemption. These concepts are explained from the Hebrew and Aramaic "word pictures." Each letter of the ancient Hebrew alphabet was originally a picture of something from everyday life that became a stylized pictograph in early Semitic writing. When these pictographs or letters are joined together to form words, the word pictures provide a simple understanding of difficult concepts. The door of life into the fence of salvation is Jesus Christ, the author of salvation. We are connected to the fence by the Spirit of Holiness.
