The book is about a boy named Ti K k y (Tee-Ke-Kay). He had to be sent to live at an orphanage because his family was persecuted by people who practiced witchcrafts. He was picked on at the orphanage because he was too skinny. Despite the silliness between them, the orphans had to unite and defend their fellow orphans against the other mean children in the neighborhood who bullied them because they didn't have parents and lived at an orphanage. The orphans were invited to a neighborhood yearly soccer tournament. Ti K k y didn't want to play because he was not good at soccer, he was afraid of public and he didn't want to be bullied by the mean kids on the other teams. His mentor had to come up with a trick to help him get rid of his fear and to go play when one of the orphans got injured. He ended up scoring the winning goal.
