by Stanley Uche Anozie (Author)

Philosophical hermeneutics has become central to my research and writings. It is my wish to build on the work I have done so far. In this book, I will present diverse essays that I have written in the course of my hermeneutical studies. It means that this book is an anthology.

I have chosen to entitle this book: The Hermeneutics of Person, Belongingness and Diverse Philosophies (an anthology). This is to help accommodate some of recent hermeneutical reflections on the person, social responsibility, political belongingness, political rights, rights to self-determination, justice, global development, cultural competence, the question of responsibility, just war theory, etc. Different essays addressed different topics or subject matters in philosophy, theology, human rights, public policy and governance. Some of the ideas ranged from indigenous African philosophy/African hermeneutic philosophy to Western/European perspectives on person, culture, ethics, human rights, governance and philosophy of diversities. I hope that the chapters of this book will present interesting themes to African scholars/researchers, non-Western and Western scholars.
