Brandy, a food delivery driver, is well-acquainted with loss. Her parents are no longer alive, and her daughter is in foster care. Brandy's best friend, Zane, is the only person she has left, so she embraces his dream of buying a home for their children. But, when Brandy stops taking her medication, her behavior leads to her and Zane becoming homeless. Without a place to stay, they have to spend their savings on a motel, delaying their dream of owning a home.

To earn back Zane's trust, Brandy creates a scheme to live with her agoraphobic client. All Brandy and Zane need to do is keep the client captive in her own home. They firmly believe their plan will succeed, and soon they'll be leaving after living in her house without paying rent.

But strange events unfold as Halloween draws near. Brandy and Zane become victims of harassment and threats. The real question is, who is sending the threats? The client is not the one sending them because Brandy and Zane have her locked in her room. Will they find the mysterious person before the hostage takers become the hostages?
