The Imaginary Invalid is a three-act com die-ballet by the French playwright Moli re with dance sequences and musical interludes by Marc-Antoine Charpentier. It premiered on 10 February 1673 at the Th tre du Palais-Royal in Paris and was originally choreographed by Pierre Beauchamp. The play criticizes the doctors and pharmacists practices in the time of Moli re where they used to diagnose, mostly, rich people with diseases they are not infected with in order to make fortune.

Author Biography

Jean-Baptiste Poquelin, known by his stage name Molière (15 January 1622 - 17 February 1673), was a French playwright and actor who is considered to be one of the greatest masters of comedy in Western literature.
