His books have been published in several languages throughout the world. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e The author of twenty-one crime and mystery novels for adults, Dickinson was the first to win the Gold Dagger Award of the Crime Writers' Association for two books running: \u003ci\u003eThe Glass-Sided Ants Nest\u003c\/i\u003e (1968) and \u003ci\u003eThe Old English Peepshow\u003c\/i\u003e (1969).
