As an Early Childhood Educator, I had the privilege of being surrounded by very young children from all walks of life, on a daily basis. The inspiration of my story, The Lonely Little Caterpillar, came from working with these precious children who often times felt the emotions of loneliness and separation anxiety. My hope is that when they read my book they can relate to the caterpillar and realize that feeling lonely is most often short lived and new friends are waiting to be found.
