She is the Educational Outreach Writer and Program Coordinator for the Smithsonian Latino Virtual Museum in Washington D. C. She is the poetry editor for BorderSenses Literary Journal, and advisory member in the Con Tinta: Chicano\/Latino Writers' Collective. She has a MFA in Bilingual Creative Writing from the University of Texas at El Paso.
