Winner at the 2014 Moonbeam Children's Book Awards. A double story perfect to explain that every noise we hear has its logical explanation. A must-read to learn to deal with fear of darkness, relax and drift off to sleep.

Luke is a very brave little boy, but when night falls he hides under his sheets, absolutely terrified. When he lies in his bed, in the middle of the darkness, terrifying creatures visit him, such as Blubberhead the monster, Verruca the witch or Clankenstein, the evil monster made of tin and wires who wanders all around the house. Luke pulls his sheets up higher and higher, trying to scare them away - and the worst thing is the night has only just begun! Each sound he hears become a fearsome monster in his mind, although... what are those sounds? Where do they really come from?

The Night of Noises teaches us that not all of the products of our imagination correspond to reality. To overcome our most fearsome fears, we must look them in the eye and face them.

The memories of María José Olavarría go back to a childhood full of dreams, built from castles of a thousand colors, where her brush was the most precious communication tool. She studied Graphic Design at the University of Valparaíso (Chile). After some professional experiences and dedicating herself to motherhood by heart and choice, she reinvented herself playing with textures and techniques, until she recognized that illustration completed her soul and allowed her to rescue and playfully capture the magical world of hers. She has lived for eleven years in southern lands, in the countryside near Temuco, in Chile, surrounded by nature and her four children, who are her source of inspiration.
