Teddy and Hellen Grady are two sisters who live in The Overlook Hotel. They have lived here since their father Delbert chopped them both up with an axe.

For as long as they can remember, they have been the only children at The Overlook. But when Hellen thinks she sees a little blond boy playing in one of the rooms, she becomes obsessed with tracking him down and figuring out who he is and why none of the other ghosts have seen him.

With the help of her younger sister Teddy, who everyone thinks is her twin, she sets out to solve the mystery of The Overlook Hotel.
