She lives with her husband on a small farm, where they have gardens and two sheep, but no pigs. \u003cem\u003eThe Pig and the Dumpling\u003c\/em\u003e is loosely inspired by an anecdote Bonnie discovered when researching \u003cem\u003eBygone Days of Witless Bay\u003c\/em\u003e, an award-winning community history which she compiled with Maureen Walsh, on behalf of the Witless Bay Heritage Committee. It is her first children's book.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eBorn in Sofia, Bulgaria, \u003cstrong\u003eVeselina Tomova\u003c\/strong\u003e graduated from Leipzig's School of Graphic Art and Book Design before moving to Newfoundland.
