Fascinated by his work and inspired by his wonderful spirit, she and her husband co-produced a documentary entitled \u003ci\u003eMata Ortiz Pottery: An Inside Look\u003c\/i\u003e. \u003ci\u003eThe Pot That Juan Built\u003c\/i\u003e is her first book. Andrews-Goebel and her husband live in the northern California town of Cayucos.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eDavid Diaz\u003c\/b\u003e won the Caldecott Medal in 1995 for Smoky Night.
