Blue quilts, a floor, a broken spirit, and a teachable heart created the atmosphere that Ruth needed to find the God that she so desperately needed and wanted. Azariah told Hanani, "The Lord will stay with you as long as you stay with him, he will abandon you." This word compelled Ruth to seek God and stay with him. God takes a rebellious heart and broken spirit on a blue quilt and transforms both into a God-fearing and powerful woman of God. Her prayer pallet journey brought about restoration, renewal, and transformation. She continues to take every life issue and concern and every praise and celebration to the prayer pallet.

Ruth Merritt is an ordained minister and resides in Abbeville, South Carolina. Ruth believes deeply in the power of prayer and her faith is anchored in God.
