Soul-liberty is the liberty to think and act in religious matters without human dictation or control. It was the remark of the great American historian George Bancroft, that "Freedom of conscience, unlimited freedom of mind, was from the first, the trophy of the Baptists." This is a just remark; and it is the purpose of this little book, to furnish some of the deeply interesting facts upon which such an assertion is based.
