When \u003ci\u003eSun\u003c\/i\u003e was absorbed into \u003ci\u003eLion\u003c\/i\u003e he moved on to illustrating \u003ci\u003eOlac the Gladiator, Karl the Viking\u003c\/i\u003e and \u003ci\u003eMaroc the Mighty\u003c\/i\u003e. In 1965 he teamed with Mike Butterworth to create \u003ci\u003eThe Rise and Fall of the Trigan Empire\u003c\/i\u003e for \u003ci\u003eRanger\u003c\/i\u003e magazine, and continued to paint the comic through its transition into \u003ci\u003eLook and Learn\u003c\/i\u003e through to 1976.
