He authored two collections of poetry criticism and six poetry collections, all published by the University of Pittsburgh Press: \u003ci\u003eRed Clay Weather, Fata Morgana, Otherhood, Wrong, Angel, Interrupted, \u003c\/i\u003e and \u003ci\u003eSome Are Drowning\u003c\/i\u003e. His work has been widely awarded and anthologized and has appeared in four editions of\u003ci\u003e The Best American Poetry\u003c\/i\u003e and two Pushcart Prize anthologies. Shepherd received many awards and honors over his career, including grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Guggenheim Foundation, among others. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eJericho Brown \u003c\/b\u003eis author of \u003ci\u003eThe Tradition\u003c\/i\u003e, for which he won the Pulitzer Prize. He is the recipient of fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard, and the National Endowment for the Arts, and he is the winner of the Whiting Award. Brown's first book, \u003ci\u003ePlease\u003c\/i\u003e, won the American Book Award. His second book, \u003ci\u003eThe New Testament\u003c\/i\u003e, won the Anisfield-Wolf Book Award.
