A girl is born with a terrifying shadow in the shape of a monster, with teeth and claws. Shunned from her village the girl lives alone, but when she becomes a woman her troubles increase. The Shadow Beast grows strong and powerful, and begins to kill villagers one by one. Will the girl find a way to control the beast before it kills those she loves?

Author Biography

Chani Petro grew up in Chicago but has lived all over the world. She received her BA from Columbia College and continues to be a student of archetypes, mythology, and folklore. She finds inspiration all around her from the mountains to the sea. She believes wisdom lies in the ways of the past, but that the future is thirsty for new tales.
