Alexandre Najjar was born in Lebanon in 1967 and is a lawyer and a literary critic. He has won many prizes, among them the Bourse de l'Ecrivain, the Prix de Poésie de la Ville de Paris, the Prix du Palais Littéraire, and the Amsterdam Prize. Recently published Kahlil Gibran: A Biography (SAQI 978-0-86356-668-4), Fall 2008 Laurie Wilson has also translated The School of War( Telegram) by the same author, and Young Girl by Anne Wiazemsky, to be published in the US by Telegram in April 2010. She lives and works in Lyon, France.
