He has been an artist-in-residence in three national parks and is the founding editor of \u003ci\u003eSpiral Orb\u003c\/i\u003e, an experiment in permaculture poetics. Magrane is currently completing his PhD in geography at the University of Arizona. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e Christopher Cokinos is the author of three books of literary nonfiction: \u003ci\u003eHope Is the Thing with Feathers: A Personal Chronicle of Vanished Birds\u003c\/i\u003e, \u003ci\u003eThe Fallen Sky: An Intimate History of Shooting Stars\u003c\/i\u003e, and \u003ci\u003eBodies\u003c\/i\u003e, \u003ci\u003eof the Holocene\u003c\/i\u003e.
