Cinco Cocke grew up in South Texas as the fifth of five children. He lost his older brother to a drunk driver when he was 14 years old and writes poetically about that experience and its impact on his life. A lifelong resident of Texas, Mr. Cocke has traveled extensively around the world, and weaves the people and places from those travels, including 9/11, Covid19, the Navy Blue Angels, Alaska and South Africa, into this historical retrospective of his life.
