Author Biography

A graduate of The University of Texas at Austin and University of North Texas, Stephen Cure has nearly 25 years of educational experience, including over ten years of classroom experience teaching at the middle and high school levels. He instructed and coordinated educational programs for the Bullock Texas State History Museum and sponsored both Junior Historians of Texas and Texas History Day programs at the school level. Stephen joined the Texas State Historical Association staff as director of education in June of 2004 and served as interim executive director in 2014 before being asked to serve as chief operating officer. His accomplishments include multiple awards for exemplary educational and military service. In 2018, he joined the staff of Experience Real History as vice-president for professional development to help teachers enhance their instruction through the use of cutting edge technology.
