His first novel to appear in English, \u003ci\u003eSigns Preceding the End of the World\u003c\/i\u003e, was published to great critical acclaim in 2015 and included in many Best-of-Year lists, including \u003ci\u003eThe Guardian's\u003c\/i\u003e Best Fiction and NBC News's Ten Great Latino Books. He is currently teaching at Tulane University in New Orleans. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003eLisa Dillman teaches in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She has translated a number of Spanish and Latin American writers.
