She passed away in 1944, just before the end of World War II. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cb\u003eSir William Nicholson\u003c\/b\u003e was a renowned English illustrator and artist, who both supplied illustrations for children's literature as well as wrote it himself.
