Author Biography

Mark Hawthorne has fostered numerous house rabbits, including seven he adopted. He has caught and rescued abandoned rabbits, volunteered with rabbit rescue groups, and educated people about rabbits through his published writing and public outreach. In addition to The Way of the Rabbit, Mark is the author of Striking at the Roots: A Practical Guide to Animal Activism, Bleating Hearts: The Hidden World of Animal Suffering, and A Vegan Ethic: Embracing a Life of Compassion Toward All. He and his wife, Lauren, live in Northern California.
