Gillian Johnson grew up in Winnipeg, Canada. She now lives in England and Tasmania with her husband, Nicholas Shakespeare, and their two sons, Max and Benedict. Gillian has written and illustrated numerous books for children, including ROOS IN SHOES by Thomas Keneally.
