Lake County Fire Department mourns the loss of its assistant chief. Station 21 has buried one of its founders. Captain Miller has said goodbye to his father and mentor. But this job never quits and neither will they.

When the call goes out they respond, they put everything on the line to save complete strangers. They miss dinners and birthdays just to protect their community, and even if they do everything right, they don't always make it home.
