Years later, the issues I had been dealing with as a child were resurfacing as an adult. My bouts of depression were becoming more frequent, and my husband and I had hit a hard patch in our marriage. I had been spending some time in the closet, crying, and praying for God to take away the darkness that was trying to engulf me again. I knew I had to come out of the closet, but I felt like I was carrying the closet around with me at this point, because I felt I had to be there for her once more.
