This tragedy occurred in Pinellas County, Florida, in 2008, but it took four years to go to trial. The entire trial, as well as the events leading up to it, are covered in the book. The child's family was well known to the author.

Author Biography

J.M. Barlow has spent over 35 years as a licensed business professional. She has dual degrees from the University of Michigan in Finance and Economics, and a teaching certification in secondary science and TESOL from St. Petersburg College. J.M. is active in her church and enjoys writing Christian music. She has always had a passion for true crime books. J.M. lives on the southeast coast with her husband and greyhound rescues.
