The purpose of his book is to share the story of how God sustained he and his family, by His Amazing Grace, and help you understand how the He can do the same for you as you deal with grief from the loss of a loved one. Walter Mixon has served in the Gospel Ministry for the past twenty-five years. He is a Southern Baptist pastor and founder of WM Ministries. The purpose of WM Ministries is to "share THE WORD with The World". This is accomplished through the teaching and preaching of the Word of God in Church Worship Services, Bible Conferences, Revivals, Publications, and the Daily Devotion Ministry of WM Ministries On Sunday Morning, June 1, 2008, he and his family's life was forever changed when his oldest son, Corporal Justin Ray Mixon, was killed in Operation Iraqi Freedom while serving this nation in the United States Army. On that tragic morning, Bro. Walter and his family began their walk through what he has described as a walk through the valley of the shadow of death; thus, the title of his book, "Walking Through The Valley". This book details how devastating the death of Justin was upon the family and, how God, through His Amazing Grace sustained them.
