by Talitha Day Fair Ph. D. (Author)

A university journalism student, Holly LaMasters, finds herself inexplicably on a jungle island between two feuding cultures. The Ferri, the People of Iron, are so physically strong that they feel no pain but have many fears. In comparison, the Intelle, a technologically developed society, consider themselves weak and feel ashamed of their unusual mental powers. Holly makes friends in both cultures, including twin children who are spies among the Ferri. When the people who feel no pain scheme to use a pagan festival to kill the Intelle, Holly teaches the Intelle about Jehovah God and His ability to save. Discovering deeper meanings of "strength" and "weakness," Holly and the Intelle youth establish lasting peace between the two tribes. Holly is finally free to carry out her plan to return to her own world. But at the last moment she realizes her choice is based solely on her own desires. What would Jehovah God have her do? What world will she choose?
