Author Biography

Dr. LaWanna Lease Blount has a Ph.D in higher education administration and sociology from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She founded the BA in genealogical studies at Akamai University, a distance learning university of Hilo, Hawaii. She is the Director of the Center for Education and Literacy at this University.
