Wildflower Blooming is the debut collection of poetry by multidisciplinary artist Crystal Reyes. Her book tackles themes of femininity, motherhood, sexploration, Spanish customs, and healing through self-love. She formerly found herself in a crisis of domestic violence, lingering to hold it all together for the sake of her first-born, she made the courageous decision to leave a toxic marriage, despite cultural norms. Instead of surrendering to depression or chismes de la familia, she made it a personal journey to rebuild her life around healing generational traumas and finding her true self in all her splendor. Reyes examines what takes root after detrimental life-experiences, and cultivating wholesome moments from what was once broken.
