Author Biography

Katherine Applegate is an award-winning author of many books for children and young adults. She has received prestigious awards such as the Golden Kite, the Josette Frank, and the Newbery Medal. The latter was awarded for her novel The One and Only Iván, a bestseller since its publication in 2013 adapted into a film by Disney. The Survivor was the first volume of a trilogy full of adventures and fantasy, which continues with The First and ends with The Only One.
